The alarm clock goes off and you are left with a choice, snooze it for that 10 more minutes of sleep or get up and let’s start this day? Did you know that the choice you make can affect the rest of your day? Not everyone is a morning person and may need that little motivation and or pick me-up to get the day started.
I know you probably heard this before and I am going to say it again “Breakfast or the first meal of your day is the most important meal of the day”. I am telling you this is the TRUTH! So I wanted to share some ways we can get the ball rolling and have you taking on your day to get the Results you want!
For my Coffee drinkers, don’t shy away from this morning necessity, just have it without all the chocolate, whip cream, sugary creamer, and caramel. Try having your coffee with a teaspoon of coconut oil and non-sugary / creamer (if needed). The Caffeine and the essential good fat in the coconut oil will help boost your energy level for the day. Some added benefits of the coconut oil boost are it helps with digestion, improves memory and brain function, can help lower blood pressure and it can help keep cholesterol levels balanced.
We live in a busy world and sometimes we just don’t have the time to prepare a balanced breakfast that will fit our nutritional goals. A quick and easy way to boost your energy while providing many of the essential nutrients your body needs to fuel your day, is to make a breakfast shake or smoothie! It is quick, easy and if done right can provide you with a great boost of energy, vitamins and essential minerals. All right break out your favorite bullet blender and add some spinach, broccoli, blueberries, strawberries, half of an apple and a teaspoon of coconut oil! If you like it more like a drink hold the ice and just add water (add ice and water if you enjoy a smoothie consistency). This morning power shake will provide you with many of the nutrients you need to get you going and fuel your daily activities.
